Italian-Style Spaghetti Sauce

Serves: 4-6
  • 1 pkg. Shurfine Spaghetti Sauce Mix
  • 1 can (6 oz.) Shurfine Tomato Paste
  • 2 T. Shurfine Olive Oil or Salad Oil
  1. Empty one package Spaghetti Sauce Mix into saucepan.
  2. Blend in one can (6 oz.) tomato paste and 3 cans (18 oz.) water.*
  3. Add 2 Tbsp. olive oil OR salad oil.
  4. Bring to boil. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spaghetti Sauce with Meat: Crumble and brown ½ lb. ground beef and add to sauce, or serve sauce over meatballs.
*1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce and 1-1/2 cans (12 oz.) water, OR 1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes may be substituted. Gourmet Spaghetti Sauce: Add 2 T. dry red wine to prepared sauce. Top with grated Shurfine Parmesan Cheese.
